Product Description
Splash coat is a rough preparatory layer of cement mortar that is sprayed or dashed onto walls before plastering. Its purpose is to improve the adhesion of plaster to the surface and prevent cracking or peeling later.

Splash Coat Mix Components

Water as required (relatively fluid consistency)
Splash Coat Application Method
Surface Cleaning
Remove dust, oils, and mortar residues from the wall.
Wall Wetting
Moisten the wall with water without leaving standing water.
Preparing the Splash Mix
Mix cement, sand, and water until a rough, fluid consistency is achieved.
Spraying or Dashing the Splash Coat
Apply using a trowel or spraying machine, ensuring rough surface coverage.
Allowing the Splash Coat to Dry
Leave for at least 24 hours before starting plastering.
Important Notes

Do not level or smooth the splash coat

It must remain rough to enhance adhesion

Plastering must not start before the splash coat dries

Light water spraying the next day is recommended for curing
